I played this game one weekend expecting the greatest show on earth, and what do i get nothing. Graphics are horrible compared to any Xbox game, “besides nbalive2002″ and for all you morons saying nfl fever has great graphics, what are you talking about they are terrible, the stadiums are all wrong, they dont look real, and the jerseys dont do those things in real life. But back to the hockey game, and another disappointment in my eyes, also there is no reason that video games for any of the new systems cant be fantastic, they keep rushing games out there without perfecting one great one, you just have a whole bunch of mediocre ones. This is just my opinion about this game and just about all xbox, cube, ps2 games.

Before I start, I would like to state that I am a die-hard EA fan… especially for their sports games. & in addition I think that the NHL series is the best sports series ever. The games for genesis were ground-breaking & the computer games perfected the realistic feel. That said, this is the WORST NHL hockey game i have ever played & i’ve played every single one (so i’m a video game nut). The game is virtually ruined by the slow gamepace. the players skate very slowly, especially when they have the puck. if you have a breakaway, you can bet that someone will hack you down (or just kind of skate around you) before you get close to the goalie. So considering that the defense skates twice as fast as the offense you would think that you may get some nice checks & physical gameplay… wrong! the checking is mild & unrealistic. It doesn’t even account for momentum. This means that a standing check is just as devastating as a check where you have a running head start. Even the original NHL back in ’92 accounted for this. As a final gripe, the players aren’t accurately rated, something EA is usually good at.

WOW!!! After seeing a preview movie of this game at a local store, my mouth dropped in amazment. They had finally done it, this is by far the Ultimate NHL hockey game. The Grapics are incredibule. It gives you the feeling of just reaching out and being able to be in the hockey game. The graphics, sound and features look to just be the best ever.
Already knowing how the game plays from NHL 98 and 99 its going to be great. this game definetly takes advantage of the XBOX capabililites.
After actually playing __NHL HITZ 20-02____ NOT NHL 2002 the other hockey game out by XBOX!!! THIS GAME NHL HITZ 20-02 was a BIG BIG disapointment. I truly was shocked. The Arena was HALF the size of a normal arena. The Ice was much smaller than normal. Instead of using all 6 players that should be on the ice (Goalie, 3 offence and 2 defence players) -(like NHL 2002), THE NHL Hitz 20-02 only USing 4 (Goalie and 3 other players that just play all over.
NHL Hitz 20-02 is a mini version of a real hockey game. IF you are looking for a real imintation of a NHL GAME, GET NHL 2002. ITS by far of all the Hockey games i have played for all the systems out there the BEST one yet.
