In Combat: Task Force 121, gamers become part of the covert unit comprised of Navy SEALs, Green Berets, Army Rangers and USMC Recon personnel tasked with thwarting a deadly group of rebels by putting a halt to their terrorist acts before U.S. interests are compromised. By working though 10 exciting single player assignments, gamers must battle their way, day and night, through a variety of environments including dense jungle, a shanty town, an oil rig, a refinery plant and an exotic island. Players can access authentic military weapons throughout the game including the M4 Assault Rifle, M203 Grenade Launcher, MK43 7.62 Machinegun and a .50 Cal Tactical Sniper Rifle. Gamers can also confront the enemy with up to 15 other players in the Multiplayer Mode across 8 game types on 13 maps.

This game is good but it still sucks. The AI of the enemies is okay when you shoot them in the leg they limp. But GRaphics suck. Atari… I’m dissappointed

I was in the store at EB games, just lookin for a decent war game for a good price. I saw Combat Task Force 121 on the shelf for 17$ and i read the back and it looked pretty good. I was told by a friend that it was terrible and was rated bad by xbox magazine, but i played multiplayer and training and everything, and this game is GREAT! DONT LET RATINGS FOOL YOU, THIS GAME IS AWESOME! OFFLINE TRAINING WITH BOTS, 4 PLAYERS ON ONE XBOX, XBOX LIVE, its a great game for a great price, dont hesitate to buy it. Good graphics, good blood, good weapon variety, good maps, overall AWESOME GAME!

The $20 price on this game was attractive, but I almost didn’t buy it cause I have the mentality that if a game gets released at a $20 price tag…it can’t be very good, but I decided to give it a chance (cause I have made plenty of $50 mistakes, so I figured $20 isn’t much of a loss) and bought it to play on Xbox Live since all I’ve been playing is Counter Strike for the past year, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny! If I would have spent $30 on this game, I still would have felt like it was money well spent.
Pros- Good level selection with awesome layouts, many different gaming modes including: death match, team death match, capture the flag, king of the hill (there are a few more, but these are the ones i’ve tried so far), realistic weapons, tight controls.
Cons- There should be a few more weapons to choose from, the movement of your player just isn’t quick enough, no custom sound track, ps2 like load times, graphics are a little choppy at times.
I haven’t tried the 1 player mode yet, but it should be pretty solid based upon the fun factor of the multiplayer.
If you’re into realistic 1st person shooters on Live like Counter Strike & the war shooters, definately check this one out. It’s only a measley $20…you won’t regret it!
I really hope that this game is a success, and Groove Games releases more shooters like this in the future.
