I was very excited to get the new wireless drums. Unfortunately the 3rd day I had them, after playing a song on RB2, as I went to select a new song, a static zap from my finger hit the control pad, and the pedal and d-pad stopped working. Ok freak thing I thought. I sent it back and Amazon sent a replacement. The replacement drains batteries even when the set is off. I must remove the batteries when done or they are dead in a day. I can’t believe how poor the quality is on these drums. I guess I should have known better than to buy more xbox stuff considering I am on my 3rd xbox as well.

Not sure if my issue is a common one, since the other reviews here are overwhelmingly positive. I may have just gotten a lemon.
But I bought these drums as soon as they came out and played them with Rock Band 2, and immediately started having problems with the game registering note hits. I would play songs on Easy and get around 60% every time (with the old drums I can near-perfect many songs on Hard).
What were obvious hits would register as misses (the red circle would show up and I’d lose my streak). My friends and I played with them for one day before unanimously switching back to the RB1 drums.
Despite the big pink slip saying “STOP!!! DON’T RETURN TO THE RETAILER!”, I returned the drums to the store because I prefer an instant cash refund over a long, tedious process of shipping equipment for repair. It’s Harmonix’s fault they made a bad drum set; I’m not going to play by their rules on the return. Wal-Mart accepted for a cash refund, no questions asked.
I’m going to wait a bit to see if the general online consensus is that most of them work before buying them again.

I was excited to upgrade my drums. I was looking forward to a more precise and quieter drumming experience.
Many of the things written in the positive reviews DO apply, however, for me, they are all rendered moot by the following:
I went through two brand new sets of these drums and got the same thing – I am, somehow, “overhitting”. Use Rock Band One drum set and I get 100% on a song without a broken streak. Switch to the Rock Band Two drum set, and I get 100% on the song, but with CONSTANT broken streaks. Now, why when I hit ONE note it is sometimes registering as TWO could be a matter of debate. All I know is that I do not have this problem AT ALL with either my original or my replacement Rock Band One sets.
