What does it do?
The INTENSAFIRE modifies XBOX 360 controllers (CG, Matrix and wireless), allowing them to control 5-mode sleeper settings, and use customizable user programmable modes. It uses the existing Sync button to toggle and also offers and included button that advanced modifiers can use. It also enables dual rapid-fire- usable in all XBOX 360 games, including gamer favorites: Left 4 Dead, the Call of Duty series, the Halo series, ?the Gears of War series, and Street Fighter.
How is it better?
5-mode sleeper mod kits exist. Dual rapid-fire mod kits exist. The INTENSAFIRE mod kit has both. There are controllers on the market, prefabricated, that do what the INTENSAFIRE offers, each controller going for well over $100. The INTENSAFIRE is an extremely simple to install mod kit, taking no more than 3 minutes to install with minimal tools. Other mod kits require soldering, drilling, wiring, and deconstruction of your controllers. The INTENSAFIRE requires connections to only a few e... More >>

The product that was sent to me does not work. Written instructions were followed; video instructions were used for reference. Please, do not waste your money. If you’re looking for a controller mod, this is not it. Look elsewhere. Learn from my mistake. Stay Away!!!

I ordered this item on 12/1/2009 and received it 12/3/2009!
It is not as difficult some might think. However, it’s not as
easy as the video makes it out to be.
I have performed 2 or maybe 3 mods to X360 controllers and all
are still working. Those mods were with the chip and tactile buttons
though which had to be soldered! Boy what a mess.
This one is MUCH, MUCH simpler and it took me about 23 minutes
to complete.
I will order another one for my friends and maybe I’ll put up a video!
The first solder/glue point for the mod is a bit tricky like the other
reviewer said. It has 3 points lined up like so… | | |
The one in the middle is a hit or miss if you get it but not impossible! I have
20/20 vision but good lighting is essential and a magnifier would
be VERY advantagious!
Take your time! use light coats of the glue, i don’t recommend a solder
gun because the overlay is paper thin. If you miss or overheat you will ruin
it. I didn’t have a wooden tooth pick so I used plastic dental floss
because the points are very fine.
Thanx.

If your looking for an afordable but not cheap rapid fire this is it, and no matter what patch comes out next the programmable mode will allow you to adjust your controller and keep right on going. As for install if you can read and glue your good, oh and have a well lit area. From start to finish 30 minutes and I was online slaughtering the other guys.

If you’ve ever ordered a standard rapid fire controller kit online you probably got a little chip with 18 wires and a set of instructions that look like they were printed on old news paper. Well BGR mods really stepped up to the plate to solve the 2 biggest challenge of rapid fire controllers, installation and long term compatibility.
Other kits that have wires could take you in upwards of over an hour to install with tons of wires, the need for hot glue and a soldering iron. The intensafire literally takes a few minutes to install, just place flat on the controller board and glue all the points with the included solder glue. You wait longer for the glue to dry than you do for the installation.
The other challenge facing rapid fire controllers are updates and patches to games from publishers. This happened twice on COD5 and once on COD4. Well with other mod kits, the controllers became almost useless on COD5 as there was no way to change the shots per second. Well that has been solved with the Intensafire, mode 5 is programmable to any timing that you choose, you can change it to 1 shot per second to 200+ shots per second (most games will start to sputter when you get to higher speeds).
So with ease of installation and a user programmable speed setting, the Intensafire has solved all the problems with current rapid fire controller mod kits on the market today. At an MSRP of $29.99 it may be more expensive than the other type of mod kits with wires, but for the simple design and the fact that it will never become obsolete it more than worth the price.

After a few hours of installing/uninstalling/cleaning and trying again, I finally got this to work in a Matrix style controller. I thought I ruined a CG controller in the process but was able to get it working again later with a little cleaning. The install is not as easy as they say. The main issue I experienced was trying to glue the sync point on the CG controller. There are three pins right next to each other (and very small). It is very difficult to get the glue on the middle point only. I’m pretty sure I got the glue across the points and that controller’s sync button no longer worked until I cleaned the button.
However, I did get the product to install on a Matrix style controller and it works quite well and I am happy with it. Just be very careful during the install and take your time.
