A lot of fun. What else can I say? I hardly get a chance to use it because my roommate is on it 24/7. Definitely worth the return in fun.

This review is mostly a reposting of my more comprehensive review on the Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 with Dance Mat, but since the bundle is just the mat plus the software, I feel it would be helpful to have a say here, too.
The mat is as good as any other soft dance mat. It does not register consistently on soft flooring. I play mine with 2 layers of cardboard between it and the carpet and it seems to help. It slides around a lot, especially if you play the Difficult or Expert levels. It also bunches up as you play because it will stick to your feet. Sometimes if you’re feet are really sticky, it will register steps as you lift your foot, causing “boos” — very frustrating when you’re trying to get combos. It is also the only mat supported by the game, so sayeth Konami.

This is exactly the same as the controller that came with the game. It works great and creates an even battlefield by avoiding excuses like “I was using the cheap controller that’s why I lost!”

This takes a little getting used to but is worth the effort. Watching other members of your family having fun and laughing together is great.
